Wine meets Design. Love ensues.

Design obsessed from the start
Version 1
Our first effort was utilitarian – an industrial, completely functional starting point that was the basis for an early set of prototypes.
Inspiration!
From that first effort we turned to the graceful, aerodynamic lines found in bullet trains for inspiration.
Materials
Solid aluminum has always been our materials of choice. The weight of the first prototypes felt amazing – the kind of object you’d want to pick up and hold. Aluminum has great finish properties – when brushed smooth and anodized it takes on a luster and glow. Aluminum is also amenable to different finishes like powder coating and plating, which gives us lots of options for creativity in the future.
They Work!
Those early prototypes validated that the weight and rubber footing would provide enough traction to hold up wine. And even the first prototypes had an immediate aesthetic appeal.
Version 2
We tried to capture the essence of those clean, purposeful shapes, to guide the overall shape and flow of the bars.

Form Meets Function.
Function says Hello 👋
Material Milled from solid aluminum, each bar weighs just over 1/2 lb, the kind of weight that will bring a smile to your face :)
Shape The arc of the bars matches the radius of a 3.5” bottle.
Finish Brushed smooth and anodized, Winebars® are the first wine rack to care about color.
